Stephan Martiniere
Smoothly morphing his considerable skill and experience, Stephan MARTINIERE shape shifts from whimsical to hard-core science fiction, cartoon to realistic and illustrator to director.
In the past 25 years, Stephan has become known for his talent, versatility, imagination and professionalism, gaining constant recognition and praise through his work in the publishing, film, animation, themed park and the game industry. Stephan has worked on such films including Star Wars ep 2 and 3, I robot, The Time Machine, Knowing and Startrek. In the publishing industry Stephan has produced over one hundred book covers. Stephan’s credits as a visual art director in the game industry includes Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, Uru: The Path of the Shell, Myst 5, Stranglehold, Area 51, Mortal Kombat vs DC. As a director for the animated special Madeline, Stephan won the Humanitas Award, the A.C.T Award and the Parent's Choice Award and was nominated for an Emmy Award.
Stephan is the recipient of the Thea Award for his work on the Paramount theme park Super Saturator in 2001. He is also the winner of the gold and two silver Spectrum Awards, 4 Master and 12 Excellence Exposé Awards, The Chesley Award and the British Science Fiction Association Award for best cover of 2004 and 2006 and the Hugo Award in 2008.
In 2004 Stephan received the Grand Master Expose Award.
Stephan Martiniere is currently art directing the game Rage at ID Software.
